Students at VRG Odenplan ask questions to astronauts ”in real time”

27 maj, 2018

Students in Natural Science at VRG Odenplan recently had the opportunity to ask questions directly to astronaut Scott Tingle.

Between 10.53 and 11.03, students were allowed to ask questions via ARISS (Amateur Radio to the International Space Station).  Each question was answered by Mr. Tingle.

More than 300 students and staff filled the auditorium as we ”listened in” on the conversation.  Questions regarding black matter, life on Mars, career choices when you become an astronaut, ongoing research and more were asked and answered.

This project was led by our Naural Science teacher, Phil Yoder.

This type of real and relevant activities is just one of the many ways our teachers and students fulfill the VR School ideal of ”Entertain the Brain/Hjarnan vill ha roligt”!
